22 months have passed since the commencement of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. The scheme, which was started to provide cash assistance of Rs. 6,000 per annum to each farmer, has undergone many major changes during this period, which is expected to benefit the farmers more than Rs. The Modi government formally launched the scheme on February 24, 2019 from Gorakhpur. Now with this, you can take KCC credit card more easily than before.

Through this, 1.5 crore Kisan credit cards have been issued under Self-Reliant India. Their spending limit is Rs 1.35 lakh crore. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Rs. Out of the total expenditure limit of up to Rs 2 lakh crore, 2.5 crore KCC will be issued.

So that all the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi will also get the benefit of KCC. Through this, a loan of up to Rs 3 lakh can be taken for farming. The loan is available at 4%. Let's talk about its important changes.

Manually check the status

>> If you have also applied for the benefit of this scheme and have not yet received the money in the bank account, it has become very easy to know its status. Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary said that any farmer can check his status by visiting PM Kisan Portal and entering his Aadhaar, mobile and bank account numbers.

Register to avail the benefits

>> Now no farmer has to go to the authorities to register under this scheme. Anyone can register by going to 'Kisan Portal'. It aims to link all farmers with the scheme and provide timely benefits to the registered people. With the launch of this facility by the Ministry of Agriculture, the state governments will now take some time to correct the errors and check the details of the farmers.

Taking KCC became easy

The Modi government has also decided to issue Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) to all farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana. That is, the PM-Kisan scheme has been linked to KCC. With this, loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be available at only 4%.

The country currently has about 80 million active Kisan credit cards. There are more than 2 crore beneficiaries of PM-Kisan Sanman Nidhi who do not have KCC. Since banks already have most of the information about PM-farmer beneficiaries, banks will have no problem issuing KCC to farmers.

Exemption from crop insurance for KCC

Earlier, farmers who had taken Kisan Credit Card even if they did not want to, had to join the Crop Insurance Scheme (PMFBY). Crop insurance has now been made voluntary after it was linked to the PM Kisan Yojana. The government's decision is expected to bring relief to millions of farmers across the country.

Small and big farmers will be able to benefit

When disbursement under this scheme was started in December 2018, the scheme was only for small and marginal farmers. It included only 12 crore farmers. So its budget was fixed at Rs 75,000 crore. But before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP promised in its resolution that all 14.5 crore farmers would benefit if the Modi government came to power again. Many state governments are now considering helping themselves with the PM Kisan scheme. The Madhya Pradesh government has taken this step by giving 4-4 ​​thousand rupees per farmer.


Farmers can avail the benefits of honorarium scheme

If a farmer is availing the PM-Kisan Sanman Nidhi, he will not have to submit any documents to join the PM Kisan Samman Yojana. The contribution of this scheme with a pension of Rs. 3000 per month will be deducted directly from the PM Kisan Yojana. The farmer does not have to spend money directly from his pocket.
