Tragedy: Fire erupts after accident near Kheralu in Ahmedabad family's car on its way to Ambaji Darshan

  • Crowds gather at crash site following accident, police have to control traffic

A family car from Ahmedabad, which was going to visit Ambaji today, had an accident near Kheralu. The car caught fire after the accident. Two teenagers and an old woman were killed in the blaze. 

Although the couple was rescued in the car, they were set on fire by accident. He was shifted to Kheralu Government Hospital, while 3 persons were injured in the accident and were shifted for postmortem in bags and clothes.

The original Vadnagar family used to go to Ambaji Darshan

The Patel family, a resident of Ahmedabad and originally from Karbatia village in Vadnagar, was on their way to visit Ambaji early this morning when a car with CNG kit number GJ01KR1531 collided with a tree for some inexplicable reason. After the car hit a tree, a fire broke out in the car, in which two daughters of the Patel family of Karbatia village and their grandmother were burnt to death.

Crowds of people gathered after the accident

People are saying that the family is going to Ambaji Darshan. Police had to reach the spot after the accident and control the traffic. The car was gutted in the fire, while the grandmother and two granddaughters inside were burnt to death. Crowds of people thronged the scene after the accident.

Six were killed near Malekpur in Kheralu in February this year

A pick-up truck carrying Madhya Pradesh laborers from Kutch to Himmatnagar met with an accident near Malekpur in Kheralu at around 2 am on February 12, killing six people, including two women and a child, including a couple.


 While 7 people were seriously injured. After falling into a ditch on Dalu Highway, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and collided with a tree 30 meters away, knocking down 15 laborers sitting on top of Dalu, hitting him on the head with a tree branch.
