A fight broke out between two groups in Savarkundla on Sunday night, in which a young man named Jahid Harunbhai Sheikh was stabbed to death with acid. Two people were seriously injured in the incident and were shifted to hospital for treatment. 

Police investigations revealed that the trivial matter of walking down the street had led to beatings and killings. The police were informed and rushed to the spot and further investigation is underway.

Police have registered a case against four persons and are conducting an investigation

Jahid Harunbhai Sheikh was killed in a scuffle last night over an old feud between two groups in the river and Nera area of ​​Savarkundla. Police have registered a case against Ayub alias Akni Usmanbhai Chauhan, Usmanbhai Kasambhai Chauhan, Afsanaben alias Kati Rahimbhai Chauhan and Irfan alias Ghadiali Yunusbhai Vaghela. The police have lodged a complaint and are conducting further investigations.

The accused killed Jahid on the pretext of reconciliation

There was an earlier altercation between the two groups over the issue of walking down the street. So Jahid was called for reconciliation, but the people of the opposite party sprayed acid on Jahid with a sharp weapon, in which Jahid died on the spot.

A team of Savarkundla police and FSL rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The body was later shifted to Amreli Hospital for PM. Jahid's brother has lodged a complaint against four persons.
