Crime: A resident of Vaisalinagar, Rajkot, who refused to speak, stabbed the youth 5 to 6 times, under treatment

The assailant was also injured in the altercation, police said

A 20-year-old rickshaw puller was attacked with a knife by a person living in the neighborhood last night in Vaishali Nagar-5, next to Amrapali Gate on Raiya Road in Rajkot. A complaint has been registered that the father and brother of the youth, who were stabbed 5 to 6 times, got into a scuffle with him. The attacker was also injured in the incident and has been shifted for treatment.

A man living in the neighborhood attacked last night

According to the information received, Gopal Ranabhai Mir (age 20), who lives in Vaishali Nagar-5 and earns his living by driving a rickshaw, was near his house at 10 pm. Neighbor Jayaraj alias Shyam alias Kalu then attacked Gallo Dai with a knife and inflicted five stab wounds on his chest, neck, hands and buttocks. So he was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment. On the other hand, Jayaraj Mansinghbhai Chavda (age 18) has also been shifted for treatment.

Police registered a case and detained the accused

Police have registered an offense under IPC 326, 323, 504, 135 (1) against Jayaraj alias Shyam on Gopal's complaint. Gopal had alleged in the complaint that Jayaraj was arguing in the street.

 A few minutes later he came home with a knife and attacked and stabbed her. She also had a scuffle with her father and brother. Police have arrested the accused.
